Eight Female Students Kidnapped By Bandits Break Free From Their Den In Abuja

The eight female students of Government Secondary School, Awon, who have been kidnapped by bandits in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, reportedly broke out from their kidnapper’s den. The students had been kidnapped by the bandits on their way home on Monday, April 3rd.

The Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the event in an announcement on Tuesday, April 18, saying the students have been safely moved to a military hospital where they’re presently receiving medical attention.

In line with the assertion, the students broke out from a big forest around the Kaduna – Niger interstate boundaries and trekked for a couple of days before getting to a location where they were lodged  till the safety company moved them.

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai showed concern on his pleasure over the event and applauded the students for showing fearlessness and strength in breaking out from detention.
