The departed soul which is a student in the Department of Mathematics, was stated to have gone out with a few pals to swim at the pool on April 24th when he reportedly drowned. His pals who were said to have left the pool at about 5 pm of the same day he drowned.
The Bayelsa state police command, in a press release by its spokesperson, SP Asinim Butswat, mentioned the police got a report that the corpse of a young man was seen floating in the swimming pool. The assertion also stated that a group of operatives visited the scene and took the corpse to the mortuary for post-mortem.
The assertion added that the police have released a search for the pals of the student who are now at large and that an investigation to clear up the situation surrounding the student’s demise has been opened.
