The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program at the University of Toronto is meant to acknowledge worldwide students who exhibit distinctive academic achievement and creativity and who’re recognized as leaders within their school. A special emphasis is positioned on the impression the student has had on the life of their school and community, and their future potential to contribute positively to the global community.

International students from all over the world, together with international students studying at Canadian high faculties.

Scholarship worth/inclusions/duration:

The scholarship will cover tuition, books, incidental charges, and full residence support for four years.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to apply to the Pearson International Scholarship, you should be:

• • an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit);
• • presently in your ultimate 12 months of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2021
• • starting your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2022 (students already attending post-secondary studies can’t be considered; students beginning their studies in January 2022 at another post-secondary establishment cannot be considered)

To become a Pearson Scholar, you have to be nominated by your school and apply to undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. To apply, you’ll have to:

• • Obtain a nomination from your school.  (High schools not already contacted/verified are asked to submit an application for nomination rights available here.)
• • Apply to study at the University of Toronto to start your studies in 2022 and complete your application for admission by the suitable deadlines.
• • As soon as the University received a nomination and you’ve applied to the university, you’ll be able to complete the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application.

The school nomination deadline is 30 November 2021. The scholar admissions deadline is 15 December 2021 (you’re recommended to apply earlier than 7 November 2021). The scholarship application deadline is 17 January 2022.
