Oyo State Govt Issues A Disclaimer On Purported Teacher’s Recruitment

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education (UBE) Board has disclaimed the false news making rounds on social media that the board is currently employing teachers.

The Oyo State board, in an announcement on Wednesday, April 19, by its chairman, Nureni Adeniran, described these report as “undesirable elements” and advised the public to be warned and stay away from doing business with the crooks acting as recruitment representatives for the UBE.

Following the news of some scammers taking large amount of money from victims who they promised employment, printed a list of names and claimed those were the individuals being selected for the OYOSUBEB job interview. On the list, the interview was fixed for Tuesday, April 18, and Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at an undisclosed venue.

The assertion noted that the board had started searching for those in charge of the fraudulent recruitment and promised to put them behind bars.

The Oyo State board also said that when it plans to develop its workforce and wants to employ qualified individuals in the education sector, the public can be assured that it would follow appropriate processes through that.
