The Smithfield Town Council has introduced Smithfield Small Business Relief Grant Program to assist local companies.

The Grant program made attainable with funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

ARPA funding was accredited by Congress to fund eligible state, territorial, local, and Tribal governments.

Federal guidance directs funding for use for acute pandemic response wants, fill revenue shortfalls amongst these governments;

and support the communities and populations hardest-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The entire allocation for the Town of Smithfield is roughly $6.545 million.

  • The Smithfield Small Business Relief Grant Program offers grants of $3,000 for Smithfield-based small companies which have suffered financially because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility Standards

  • Certified Smithfield businesses who suffered a loss in income are encouraged to apply for the grant.
