An employee OF the faculty of Agriculture, Federal University of Wukari in Taraba State, by the name Daniel Bala Benedict, who was killed by unknown assassins on the 18th of April.
The 44-year-old employee who was also a Ph.D. student at the University was killed on his farm in Wukari local government council not so long after dropping off his kids to school. After Benedict was murdered, the gunmen used his cell phone to inform the wife of his death, and on dashing to the scene, the parts of his body have been found with blood.
The Caretaker Committee Chairmen of the local government, Dr. Adi Grace, who confirmed the death and told natives of the community to stay calm as the council, in alliance with the security companies work to look for the culprits.
Additionally confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, Abdullahi Usman, stated attempts to trace the culprits.
