University of Agder Scholarship Overview
The University of Agder is in search of high-performing aspirants to take part in the PhD Research Fellowships in ICT in Norway.
The University of Agder International Scholarship is open for the academic session 2022/2023.
This place is affiliated with the Department of Information and Communication Technology/ Centre for Integrated Emergency Management (CIEM) at UiA, and it’s supported by the department for Threat;
Safety and Security at Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). It’s anticipated that the PhD candidate will spend periods at IFE in Halden.

- Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eliible for this University of Agder International Scholarship.
- Eligible Course or Topics: PhD Research in ICT and Computational Sciences, Control Systems Engineering, Cyber Safety, Programming Languages.
- Eligibility Standards: To be eligible, the candidates should meet all the following criteria:
- Simulation and modeling for industrial systems.
- Systems safety and security engineering.
- Technical expertise in the following areas:
- Background in ICT systems’ safety
- Robust programming expertise, particularly in Python, MATLAB, and C/C++.
- Expertise in cyber incident administration (i.e., SoC ops, C2C).
- Expertise in operational technology, e.g., SCADA systems, autonomous systems.
- Expertise in machine studying/artificial intelligence methods.
- Expertise in automation of scenario-based coaching exercises.

- How to Apply:Â The application and any needed information about training and experience (together with diplomas and certificates) are to be despatched electronically.
- Supporting Documents:Â The following documentation should be uploaded electronically:
- Motivation letter.
- Complete post-secondary transcript of all academic levels.
A description also needs to be attached when attaching a non-Norwegian academic transcript that doesn’t embody a description of the grading system used by the issuing institution.
The description might contain a link to an official web site explaining the grading system. - Up to date CV with a whole list of scientific publications
- Master thesis or link
- As much as 5 representative publications or hyperlinks
- An outline of the applicant’s research interests, the relevance of your experience to the advertised position, and a preliminary work plan
- Admission Necessities: Candidates should have a master’s degree in cyber security, pc and control methods engineering, ICT, computer science or an identical/related field.
Candidates in the closing stages of their master’s degree may apply. - Language Requirement:
- International candidates that aren’t exempt from the English language necessities pursuant to the rules of the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT);
should document this by one of the following tests with the stated outcomes or better: - TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language with a minimal score of 600 for the Paper-based Test (PBT), or 92 for the Internet-based Test (iBT)
- IELTS – International English Language Testing System, with the result of 6.5
