The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has introduced its dismissal for normal business in the course of the Easter holiday coming on Friday, April 7, 2023 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 10, 2023 (Easter Monday) with the decision from the federal authorities declaring public holidays to celebrate the Christian religious ceremonies marking the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a press release to the university community, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, has authorised the dismissal of the university for normal business in the course of the public holidays. He capitalized that no official duty or academic engagement should be fixed on these days, allowing students, faculty, and staff to take part in the Easter celebrations.

While the university is closed for normal enterprise, staff members on important services will proceed to carry out their duties as scheduled.
