Utah Manufacturing Modernization Grant

The $10 million Utah Manufacturing Modernization Grant incentivizes Utah Manufacturing companies to modernize, set up, relocate, retain, or develop manufacturing within the state.

Its main goal is to modernize Utah companies’ manufacturing, develop supply chain resistance, and reduce American’s dependence on foreign manufacturing.

Eligibility Criteria

• The venture must be in Utah
• The company should contribute to the price of the project

Choice is given to Utah companies that:

• Submit a complete application
• Confirm that the proposed project will set up, relocate, retain, or develop the manufacturing industry within the state;
  it’s going to also improve supply chain resilience and reduce dependence on abroad manufacturing
• Have additional funding sources or current or planned partnerships to profit the proposal
• Can show that the project and company are sustainable and viable
• Determine clear metrics used to measure success
• Have sound organizational and project budgets
• Are aligned with a Utah focused industry
• Have fewer than 250 full-time employees
• Present the next cost share of the project
